Quality Assurance Coordinator / Supervisor - HH-Hospice

KNOWLEDGE:
Nursing procedures, laws, and regulations pertaining to the delivery of patient care in the home setting.
Working knowledge of OASIS, Medicare (CMS), Medi-Cal, Title 22, and The Joint Commission regulations as applicable to Home Health.
BS in Nursing or related field is required.
MS in Nursing is preferred.
SKILLS:
Strong project management, interpersonal, communication, reporting and excellent computer skills.
Ability to organize tasks, develop action plans, set priorities and function under stressful situations.
Demonstrate ability to use sound judgment, work independently and cooperatively, and recognize own limitations as an effective team member.

Experience:
A registered nurse with three or more years' experience with the last five years' in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, at least one or more years' of which was supervisory or administrative capacity; or a registered nurse with four or more years' experience within the last five years' in a home health agency, primary care clinic or health facility, at least one or more years' of which was in a supervisory or administrative capacity.
Experience in Home Health documentation, compliance, and regulations.
HCS-D and/or COS-C certification preferred.
Position requires experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point) LICENSE:
Valid California RN license, valid CPR certification, valid California Driver's License, and current auto insurance.
DEFINITION:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor QAS is a nursing supervisor who identifies, reviews and reports on OASIS, Quality Measures (QA), serious patient events, consults with branch Director and Home Health Supervisor(s) regarding care and service complaints of a potentially serious nature.
Monitors the implementation and administration of the patient incident reporting process, customer satisfaction and the patient complaint program.
Conducts education on Quality data management and Performance Improvement (PI) reporting.
The QAS is responsible for assuring all documentation, including the OASIS, in the patient care records meet Federal, State and The Joint Commission regulations.
The QAS works with the Director and Home Health Supervisor(s) in evaluating care being delivered to the Home Health patient and contributes to performance evaluations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
