Speech Therapist (SLP)
Job Description:
The staff Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and treats patients/residents, communicates with families, physicians and other health team members and maintains documentation of services in the medical record. Conducts in-services and training for facility staff on an ongoing basis in restorative techniques.

Essential Functions
Evaluate patients/residents based upon the physician referral
Develop effective treatment plans and obtain approval for services from referring physician
Supervise Speech-Language Pathologist Assistants and Rehab Aides in direct patient/resident care and patient/resident activities per state practice act
Treat patients/residents according to a treatment plan
Screen patients/residents based upon identified need
