Hospice Medical Social Worker
Definition:
A professional member of the Hospice team who provides social services in the home to homebound clients of any age including infant, child, adolescent, adult, geriatric and terminally ill patients.
Knowledge:
Masters Degree from a school of Social Work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
Has one year of social work experience in a health care setting.
Skills:
Ability to be a good listener and be diplomatic in dealing with other persons in job contact.
Ability to counsel and deal effectively with stress.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
