Confidential Confidential Yuba City, CA Yuba City, CA Full-time Full-time $140,000 - $160,000 a year $140,000 - $160,000 a year PURPOSE AND KEY RESULTS OF THE POSITION Director of Operations and Engineering is responsible for upholding the profitability and values of the organization by leading manufacturing, service, maintenance, and new product development operations.
The duties include setting operational goals and initiatives, quality assurance, and continuous improvement for multiple facilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
Assure a safe working environment at all facilities.
2.
Plan an efficient operating strategy.
3.
Develop and achieve annual operating budget.
4.
Control and improve costs.
5.
Manage New Product Development, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Repair & Maintenance, Service, Quality Assurance, and Compliance.
6.
Manage capital projects and timelines.
7.
Minimize Risks 8.
Other Duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY Proven track record as a team leader with an understanding of management practices.
Demonstrated project and budget management skills.
Strong business acumen with a broad understanding of fundamental business principles.
Analytical problem-solving skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
Ability to set overall strategy and drive process improvement.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate and build a consensus in a high-pressure environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BS in Engineering MBA a plus 15
years of relevant experience.
Experience with metal forming operations (stamping, press-brake, plasma cutting, welding, painting, powder-coat, etc.
Automotive experience a plus Experience operating in an ISO 9001 or IATF 16949 certified company Multi-facility experience a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is combined indoor and outdoor settings which includes exposure to hot work, chemicals, paints, and higher temperatures for brief periods.
Time in the field includes being exposed to outdoors, other office settings, dirt, noise, uneven surfaces, and excessive heat or cold.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR PERFORMING ESSENTIAL DUTIES Speaking/Hearing:
Ability to effectively communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
Vision:
Ability to effectively visualize the computer screen, read printed materials and inspect equipment.
Lifting/Carrying:
Ability to lift, push and pull up to 25 lbs.
for a short period of time and distance.
Stooping/Kneeling:
Ability to stoop/kneel when required.
Reaching/Handling:
Ability to reach/handle product when required.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders, bend, and twist.
