Responsibilities:
- Process payroll for multiple companies accurately and timely - Maintain payroll records - Prepare and distribute paychecks and schedule direct deposits - Calculate and process payroll deductions, including taxes, benefits, and garnishments - Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies - Prepare and submit payroll tax filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations - Assist with year-end payroll activities, including W-2 processing - Generate various payroll reports as needed - Respond to EDD and employee inquiries regarding payroll matters
Experience:
- College level General Accounting (Accounting 10A) or Principles of Accounting (Accounting 1 or 1L) or Business Payroll Procedures (Accounting 9) or equivalent experience.
- Pay depending on experience and academic achievement.
- QuickBooks experience a plus - Accurate data entry skills with a focus on attention to detail We offer opportunities for advancement and mentoring.
